Yesterday the exhibition “All in the Present Must Be Transformed” featuring the artists Matthew Barney and Joseph Beuys opened with an interview with Matthew Barney at the Deutsche Guggenheim in Berlin.
A conference in Luzern/Lucerne in 2007 about Consciousness and Quantumcomputers.
The announcement mentions Anton Zeillinger (wikipedia link) and Roger Penrose (wikipedia link) and the Dalai Lama in their intro, but unfortunately as it seems neither of them is among the speakers..:)..but whatsoever — there are still enough interesting speakers and it is an important topic to discuss.

Die tödliche Doris was a 7 year long art project in the end 80ties. It consisted of a group of (usually 3) people( Wolfgang Müller, Nikolaus Utermöhlen und Chris Dreier/Dagmar Dimitroff/Tabea Blumenschein and then Käthe Kruse ) who did Multimedia art performances. Their work was concerned with the question of identity – especially in pop groups. They created their typical style the “ingenious dilletantism” and performed on Punk/NDW/Industrial festivals such as “Berlin Atonal”.

In the randform post about tesselations it was already mentioned that there are not so many mathematical things which can be visualized easily or visualized at all. However next to the tesselations there is a very popular area of mathematical visualization which is Origami. Origami is an active field of mathematical research as well as of arts.
last night was trampoline night with our installation seidesein. seidesein (the above blurry Moire seidesein image is an artefact..:)) was installed in the hallway together with Aram Bartholls nice project “First Person Shooter”
some impressions from the artforum 2006 – Berlins biggest art fair, which closed its doors two days ago.
