We add the following three instruments to our unsorted and incomplete list of music instruments that deserve more attention than they get:
The balloon bass
(see here for a “making of”). Ingenious design.
The mammoth ivory flute shows that more than 30.000 years ago music was something important already.
The spoon: Not an instrument in the first place: Besides playing a pair of them ( or more), the spoon can be put to use in guitar playing
