Today Wednesday, Oct 3 the Wired Science Series premieres at 8 p.m. (east coast time?) on PBS. I am usually not announcing new TV shows on this blog, but looking at wired in general i think it will probably be a nice show which deserves more attention.
Among others the Wired Science show is intended for teachers in order to “electrify Science & Tech Instruction”. So if you have access to PBS hurry up, since as I understood the archived online versions are not free (?).

business opportunity:
The magnetic interactive-W-Lan-e-paper-fridge-calendar invention from the last post is still sort of free to grab.

which we are oblidged to do by theoretical countries analog of the Bayh-Dole Act (if one wants to retain the title). In short:
patend is pending (in theoretical country)
on the
magnetic interactive-W-Lan-e-paper-fridge-calendar
but not for long. Thus any company with sufficient financial backing may go ahead and think about generating revenue with the super-duper magnetic interactive-W-Lan-e-paper-fridge-calendar!

From his last conference in spain Tim brought back the typical conference presents, like notepads and informations about the region of Castro Urdiales. Well I am not so interested in settling down in Castro-Urdiales so I flipped only briefly through the infos about the real estate developments of the region. However what caught my attention was the above paper strip. It is an explanation of how to use a spanish fan (there was also a plastic fan among the presents) (Warning: I had never been to spain so my astonishment about the fan may appear ridiculous to some spain experts).
